This City of Natchitoches is in the grips of the mania and excitement being caused by two iconic Women who will be featured at this weekend’s 28th Annual Jazz R&B Festival.
First, on Friday’s “Tribute to Legends Night,” pop icon Taylor Swift will be featured in a tribute show entitled “Lover: An Eras Tour Experience” by a Taylor Swift tribute act out of Dallas, Texas.
Complete with a light show and dancers, this presentation had been hailed as “the closest thing you will ever see to an actual Taylor Swift concert.” That act will be preceded on stage by Bad Medicine, the premiere Bon Jovi Tribute Act out of Atlanta, Georgia, who will be taking the stage at 7 p.m.
On the Thursday prior to Friday’s festival, a “Tay/gate” will be held at Flying Heart Brewery beginning at 6 p.m. with a Taylor Swift evening, including Swifty associated games and prizes, video sing-a-longs, and costume contests, and much, much more. Girls and women of all ages are encouraged to come in costume as prizes will be given.
The Festival continues on Saturday, May 10 with nearly 20 bands on three different stages featuring all kinds of music, but being headlined by Country Music superstar, Gretchen Wilson who will take the stage at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will play her hits including, “Red Neck Woman,” “Here for the Party,” and many more. She will be preceded by the legendary Funk/R&B group, The Bar-Kays, out of Memphis, Tennessee.
As always, there will be great food and plenty of activities for the kids.
