Daniel Litton named Head Coach of Natchitoches Central Lady Chiefs Softball

Natchitoches Central High School announced Coach Daniel Litton as its new Head Softball Coach on May 5. Coach Litton is a very familiar face, as he has been a Chief for the last 2 years. NCHS is excited to see what the future has in store for Coach Litton and the Lady Chiefs.

After graduating from Converse High school, and attending Louisiana State University, Litton got his start in coaching at the middle school level in Port Allen. He assisted coaching the Holy Family middle school baseball team to the district championships and felt the calling to make it a career.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Litton started coaching softball at Converse High School and fell in love with it. After 6 full seasons (COVID ’20), and 5 of them as head coach, the team had reached quarter finals 3 times, semi-finals 2 times, and in his final year at Converse (2023) brought home the State championship.

Litton has spent the past two seasons as a soccer coach and assistant softball coach at Natchitoches Central where the team has competed at a high level reaching playoffs both years, and just coming up shy against the eventual state champions.
