The Natchitoches Parish Council convened a special called meeting on July 1 at 2 p.m. in the Parish Courthouse chambers.

When roll call was taken, only two of the five council members were present (Halm and Kerry), short of the three-person quorum required to transact business, as specified by the Home Rule Charter.

Unable to meet the minimum attendance threshold, the council officially adjourned without addressing any agenda items.

Agenda items included:

• Council to approve and authorize the Parish President to sign the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Sabine Parish for trash disposal.
• Council to award bids for Solid Waste on the following equipment and give the President authority to sign all necessary documents:

a. 45’ Demolition trailer

b. Front-Load Garbage Truck

c. Chassis with Roll Off Garbage Truck Body

d. 40-yard compactor containers

• Council to confirm Mr. Joey Creamer as the Public Works Director.

No further action was taken, and no future meeting time was announced during the session.
