Natchitoches Parish Schools has officially received the third-year installment of its federal Teacher and School Leader (TSL) Incentive Program Grant, totaling $5.58 million for the year.

The funding supports the district’s STRONG initiative (Systems for Training and Retaining Our Natchitoches Educators for Growth), an innovative partnership with the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET). The initiative focuses on strengthening teacher and school leader effectiveness, raising student achievement, and moving the district closer to its goal of becoming an “A” district.

District leaders say this investment will have a lasting impact on students, educators, and the community.
