Natchitoches’ favorite season is fast approaching! City utility trucks are starting to string up lights. Miss Merry Christmas and the Belles are making appearances at local events. A sense of anticipation is building. Miss Merry Christmas and the Christmas Belles unveiled the 2025 Christmas Festival poster in a ceremony held at Tres Bien Antiques on St Denis St.
This year’s poster was painted by Katie Shreve. In a delightful twist, Shreve and her husband James are also among the city’s newest residents, having moved from Missouri six months ago. The painting is of a rural scene on St. Denis Street, presenting something of a change from the usual Front St. and fireworks centered posters of the past.
Posters are available at a price of $35 each and may be purchased at the Natchitoches City Hall Annex and Georgia’s Gifts on Front Street.
