The holiday season is here, and that means it’s time for one of Natchitoches’ most heartwarming traditions—the M*A*S*H (Make A Smile Happen) Toy Drive! For nearly three decades, this event has brought Christmas joy to thousands of children across Natchitoches Parish. Now celebrating 30 years of giving, the Natchitoches Area Jaycees mission remains the same: no child should wake up on Christmas without a toy.
How You Can Make A Smile Happen
- Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the M*A*S*H tent at Walmart.
- Make a monetary donation.
- Encourage your workplace or organization to give as a group.
- Share the event so the mission reaches every corner of Natchitoches Parish.
The goal? Fill the bins—and hearts—of our community with brand-new toys and donations that will be distributed to families in need. Every toy. Every dollar. Every share. It all adds up to Christmas morning magic for local children. But the success of M*A*S*H depends on you.
In 2024, 442 children were served. We hope to continue ensuring that no child in our community goes without a Christmas present.

For families wishing to be a recipient, you can sign up a child at the Family Doctors of Natchitoches (615 Bienville St) between now and close of business on December 12, 2025.
