Dear Citizens of Natchitoches: Utility Costs

At tax can be charged to the city, not necessarily by a vote, but by a simple increase on a rate. As most know, government is not gonna give anything back to the citizens whether they need the money or not.

I read that the City of Natchitoches, has approximately 116 million or more and fun balances. If the city has 116 million And they state that a lot of it is from revenues from utilities, why not cut rate?  There are many in the City of Natchitoches,, who live below the poverty line and are struggling to pay utilities. I asked the mayor and the city Council to lower these rates for the citizens without creating any deficits or put the city in any type of financial bind.

Certainly if we’ve accrued this much money and most of it from utilities, it should not hurt the city in giving some back to the citizens!

Sincerely,
