The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that the LA 6 bridge over the Red River at Grand Ecore will be reduced to one lane next week for routine inspections.

According to DOTD, the lane closure will take place Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The bridge is located approximately 2.3 miles north of the intersection with LA 3175 in Natchitoches Parish.

Officials said one lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and no detour will be necessary during the inspection work.
