Members of the Youth Volunteer Council at NSU Middle Lab School recently donated fans and monetary support to FAUNA — Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals — to help care for local rescue animals during the summer heat.

According to FAUNA, the donated fans will help make rescued animals more comfortable during the hot Louisiana temperatures. The students also presented the organization with a monetary donation.

Those participating in the donation presentation included YVC sponsor Jennifer Hudson, students Maisie Mangum, Lacey Shoalmire, Hunter French, Khloe Kaufman, Braylee Johnson, Kennedy Wilkerson, Brenyn Wilson, Aniyah LaCour, Wyatt Fontana and Garrett Landry, along with FAUNA board member and NSU Middle Lab secretary Kathy Owsley.
