The Natchitoches Golf Association will host 48 two-person teams this weekend in the Natchitoches 4 Ball Golf Tournament at the Northwestern Hills Golf Course.

The teams will be split into eight six-team flights, determined by the golfers’ handicaps, for competition over five nine-hole rounds Saturday and Sunday.  The event culminates Sunday afternoon about 2 o’clock when the winners of each flight compete in a Par 3 Shoot Out on the 18th hole to determine the overall championship team.

Activities begin Friday with practice rounds and a 2 o’clock skins game, followed by a fish fry for tournament participants.

Saturday’s play begins at 9 a.m. with first-round matches. After lunch, second-round competition begins at noon, and third-round matches are set to start at 2:30.

The tournament is filled to capacity. Spectators are welcomed for all three days.

Tournament participants will enjoy a social and dinner at Mariner’s Restaurant Saturday night before Championship Sunday.

Fourth-round matches tee off at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by lunch and the fifth-round matches at noon. Flight winners will be determined qualifying for the Shoot Out starting shortly after 2 o’clock.

Prize money will be awarded: $1,200 to the winning team in each flight, with the runner-up teams receiving $700.

Shoot Out prize money is $1,000 for the winning team and $500 for the second-place finisher.

Results will be reported early next week.
