St. Mary’s Catholic School has announced the addition of a new teacher and two new varsity basketball coaches ahead of the upcoming school year.
Abigail Pruett has joined the faculty as a first-grade teacher. School officials said Pruett brings a passion for helping young students grow academically, socially and spiritually.
The school also announced Tony Rainey as the new head varsity girls basketball coach. Rainey will lead the Lady Tigers program and is scheduled to host an informational meeting for incoming seventh- through 12th-grade girls interested in playing basketball at 6 p.m. June 23 in the St. Mary’s gymnasium.
Jason Adcock has been named head varsity boys basketball coach. Adcock is already familiar with the school community, having previously served as an assistant coach for the Tigers baseball program.
School officials welcomed all three new additions and said they look forward to the contributions each will make to the St. Mary’s community both inside and outside the classroom.
