The City of Natchitoches would like to notify the public that Greg Roberts Fire Hydrant Repair and Supply will be conducting fire hydrant testing throughout the City’s water distribution system from June 22 through June 30, 2026.

During the testing period, residents in the affected areas may experience temporary low water pressure and/or discolored water. These conditions are normal and should be temporary.

The purpose of the testing is to help maintain and improve the water system by cleaning and flushing the water lines. During the process, hydrants are fully opened, which may stir up naturally occurring sediment within the City’s water mains.
