
Natchitoches Central High School has announced the addition of Dr. Crystal Mallett as the school’s new assistant principal.
Dr. Mallett brings more than 21 years of experience serving students, educators and families in Louisiana public schools. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, librarian, school counselor, lead teacher and assistant principal.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Special Education–Gifted, and a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Dr. Mallett holds Louisiana certifications in Elementary Education; Middle School English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies; English for grades 6-12; Gifted Education for grades 1-12; and Educational Leadership. She also earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescent English Language Arts.
In a statement, Dr. Mallett said she considers it both a privilege and a responsibility to serve students, support educators and partner with families to create schools where every learner is known, valued and empowered to succeed.
