Four years ago, when the District 1 seat became available, I decided to run for the Natchitoches Parish School Board. As a lifelong educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience in Natchitoches Parish, I wanted to bring the perspective of someone who has spent a career in the classroom and cares deeply about our schools.
Today, I am proud to announce my candidacy for re-election to a second term representing District 1.
Our school system has made progress over the past four years, but important work remains. I remain committed to supporting our educators, expanding opportunities for every student, and ensuring our schools continue to move forward with transparency and accountability.
As a proud graduate of Natchitoches Parish schools, and as someone whose four children attended our public schools, I understand the lasting impact a strong education has on families and our community. I am also proud that my grandchildren now attend Natchitoches Parish schools. My commitment has always been—and will continue to be—to help leave our school system stronger for future generations.
Serving the citizens of District 1 has been an honor. I remain committed to being accessible and welcome your questions, concerns, and ideas. Please feel free to contact me at 318-471-7698 or Barbara.Page@NPSB.LA.
I respectfully ask for your vote and continued support as we build on the progress we have made together.
