The City of Natchitoches Community and Economic Development Department has installed a Blessing Box at the corner of Sixth Street and Trudeau.
According to the department, the purpose of the Blessing Box is simple: “Take what you need. Leave what you can.”
Community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, books or school supplies to help support neighbors in the community.
“Every small act of kindness makes a difference,” the department said.
