Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters with Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District No. 1 responded to a brush fire on Aug. 3 around 6:40 pm in the 17500 block of La. Hwy. 1, just south of the Monette Ferry Bridge, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported at approximately 6:40 p.m.
The scene remained active as emergency crews worked to contain the fire.
