Dan Gongre officially qualified on Aug. 5 to seek the office of Mayor of Provencal in the Nov. 3 election.

Qualifying for parishwide and local elected offices is taking place Aug. 5-7 at the Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Candidates continue to qualify for offices including district judge, district attorney, Natchitoches Parish School Board, mayor, alderman/council member, chief of police, Ward One city judge, Ward One city marshal, and justice of the peace and constable positions in Wards 2, 3 and 4.
