Bobbye T. “Dippy” Wells was born March1, 1934 and died on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the
age of 92. Her death was sweet, gentle, and peaceful.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William K. Wells, her parents Marcus and
Sue Tilton, and her brother, Nelson Tilton. Bobbye is survived by her daughter, Hylan Wells, her
son, Ross Wells, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and
beloved friends.

Bobbye was an active member of First Baptist Church, serving and the kitchen crew, the choir,
and Baptist Disaster Relief. She was a gifted storyteller and had many to tell, following an
adventurous and unique life. She loved meeting interesting people and her gender never held
her back from doing exactly uch on the life of this amazing womanwhat she wanted to do. Her
hobbies included woodworking, elk hunting, and loving her grands and great grands. An
obituary can’t begin to touch on the life of this amazing woman.

Bobbye’s Celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church of
Natchitoches. Visitation begins at 10:00, with the service at 11:00.
