The Dollar General location on University Parkway in Natchitoches has been closed since around Aug. 14, according to comments shared on social media. A social media user asked why the store was closed and a respondent, who seemed to have knowledge of the status as an employee, responded that the location was expected to reopen on Aug. 27.

“Please bear with us, we want to be back in our store asap,” the respondent said. “We all miss our fabulous customers and can’t wait to be back.”

Another person commenting on the post said the closure was due to busted water lines.

There had been no official communication from Dollar General regarding the closure.
