By submitting an entry, participants agree to these rules and certify that the information submitted on the registration form is accurate.

Anyone who meets the eligibility requirements may participate in the Statewide Natchitoches Weekend Giveaway at no cost. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

Each participating Journal will provide its own official online registration form. To qualify, participants must complete and submit the registration form through a participating Journal during the announced registration period.

Limit one qualifying entry per person for the statewide giveaway. Registration through more than one participating Journal does not create additional qualifying entries.

To qualify, readers must provide the following information:

• First name
• Last name
• City
• Parish
• Active email address
• Active cell phone number

All eligible qualifiers from participating in Journals will be combined into one statewide pool of qualifiers.

One winner will be selected from the statewide pool of eligible qualifiers on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026.

The selected winner will receive a $600 Natchitoches Weekend Giveaway package consisting of:

• $300 Food Card
• $200 Travel Cash
• $100 Gas Card

The prize package is intended to assist the winner with travel and expenses associated with visiting Natchitoches Parish during the Dolly Parton Celebration weekend, Oct. 9-11, 2026.

Individual events, activities, locations, schedules and participating businesses associated with the celebration are organized separately from the giveaway and may be changed, postponed or canceled by their respective organizers. The Journals do not guarantee admission to, availability of or participation in any particular event unless specifically stated as part of the prize package.

Every eligible qualifier who completes the registration process will receive a Lifetime Free Subscription to the Journal through which the reader is qualified, delivered directly to the email address provided during registration. There is no charge for the subscription now or in the future.

The only persons not eligible to participate are the publisher, the publisher’s immediate family, Journal employees and regular content contributors to any participating Journal as determined by Journal management.

The winner will be contacted using the information provided on the registration form. The winner must respond within the time period established by Journal Management.

If the selected winner cannot be reached, does not respond, is determined to be ineligible or is unable to accept the prize package, the Journal may select another winner from the remaining statewide pool of eligible qualifiers.

The winner is responsible for making any personal travel, lodging or other arrangements not specifically included in the prize package.

The winner must agree to have his or her name and photograph published by the participating Journals in connection with the announcement and promotion of the giveaway winner.

All decisions by Journal management concerning eligibility, qualification, winner selection and administration of the giveaway are final.

The Journals reserve the right to modify, suspend or cancel the giveaway if circumstances require it, without prior notice to the public.
