Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries and possible entrapment on Oct. 26 around 8 pm on Louisiana Highway 1 at its intersection with Johnson Chute Road north of Natchitoches.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District No. 6 were dispatched by the NATCOM 911 Center at approximately 7:31 p.m.

Fire personnel responded with extrication equipment due to reports of possible entrapment.

EMS personnel requested air medical support, with Air Evac Lifeteam No. 160 responding to a designated landing zone on Louisiana Highway 1 at its intersection with Louisiana Highway 3191.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office advised motorists traveling through the area to drive carefully and avoid distractions.
