Natchitoches Magnolia Bend Academy raises over $700 during Pink Out Day

Students and staff at Natchitoches Magnolia Bend Academy participated in Pink Out Day 2026, completing more than 310 laps and raising over $700 in support of cancer awareness.

The event brought students together for a day focused on perseverance, compassion and supporting those affected by cancer.

The school’s 4-H Junior Leaders helped promote awareness by placing signs throughout the campus, while students collected pledges for each lap they completed.

During the event, the school recognized two cancer survivors, Mrs. Sonya Parks and Mrs. Peggy Price, celebrating their strength, courage and personal experiences.

Student Jack Wilson was also recognized for his generosity after winning $10 in a drawing and choosing to donate his winnings back to the cancer awareness fund.

School officials expressed pride in the students for their dedication, teamwork and willingness to support others through their participation.

The event emphasized the importance of compassion and community involvement, with the school sharing a message from Philippians 2:4:

“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Natchitoches Magnolia Bend Academy thanked everyone who participated, collected pledges, donated and encouraged students throughout the event.
