Members of the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) and Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) traded their uniforms for golf clubs on Oct. 31 as they enjoyed a friendly golf scramble at the Northwestern State University golf complex in Natchitoches.
The event provided an opportunity for members of both law enforcement agencies to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition, fellowship, teamwork and camaraderie away from their daily responsibilities of protecting and serving the citizens of Natchitoches Parish.
While both agencies demonstrated their competitive spirit on the golf course, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office came out on top, earning bragging rights as the winners of the golf scramble.
Sheriff Stuart Wright said events such as these are important in strengthening the working relationships and partnerships between local law enforcement agencies.
The Sheriff’s Office extended its appreciation to the members of the Natchitoches Police Department who participated and helped make the event enjoyable.
The friendly competition was about more than golf. It was about building friendships, strengthening partnerships and promoting teamwork that benefits the citizens of Natchitoches Parish.
While the competition ended on the golf course, the friendly bragging rights will likely continue for some time.
Congratulations to Team NPSO on the victory, and thanks to Team NPD for a great day of friendly competition.
