By Alisa Yelverton

October went out with a blast. The Village of Robeline had a busy and eventful month.

This year’s Halloween in the Park celebration was an overwhelming success. Residents, families, and volunteers gathered for an evening of festive fun. Children of all ages proudly showed off their creative and “spooktacular” costumes. The Village of Robeline extends special thanks to all who attended and helped to insure the success of the event.

Robeline First Baptist invited the community to participate and enjoy in their 19th annual Deer Fest. All that attended enjoyed fellowship, hunting stories, cake walk, door prizes and give aways. First place winner for the adult biggest buck category was awarded to Lisa Allbritton. First place winner for the youth biggest buck category was awarded to Amelia Lilley. Winner for the heaviest doe category for adults was awarded to Richard Wyatt. Winner for the heaviest doe category for youth was awarded to Tatum Israel. Congratulations to all the winners and participants.

The Village of Robeline announces thier plans for Thanksgiving. “Thanksgiving in the Park” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 3 pm. They are looking for volunteers and/or donations to help to make this meal special for the community. Join the Village for an afternoon of food, fellowship and giving thanks. Next week, we will have all the returns on the election results. I hope everyone voted. The best candidate is the one who works for the betterment of the community with honesty and integrity. Good luck to all the candidates.
