NATCHITOCHES, La. – Bank of Montgomery, the premier bank of northwest Louisiana with assets of $280 million, has been renamed BOM. The new name reflects the bank’s growth in recent months to nine branches in five northwestern parishes: Natchitoches, Sabine, Grant, Bienville and Bossier. It also reflects the way most customers already refer to the bank.
Signage with the new name and an updated logo was installed at all of the bank’s locations over the holidays, and the new name has been introduced on the BOM website.
Meanwhile, BOM’s parent company, Grant Bancshares Inc., has completed its previously announced acquisition of Bank of Ringgold. The transaction expanded the BOM footprint into Bienville and Bossier with three locations.
Bank of Ringgold President Dan Blacksher remains as market president for BOM, and the remainder of Bank of Ringgold’s staff is expected to remain the same.
“The BOM name shows how the bank has entered a new chapter in terms of service area and financial strength,” says President and CEO Ken Hale. “What won’t change is the hometown service we’ve provided for more than a century. We’ll always have a strong commitment to the communities we serve.”
Hale says BOM will remain focused on providing customers with personal service combined with all the convenience of modern technology.
Most bank customers will see no change with account numbers, PINs, routing numbers and other account information. In addition, ATM, debit and credit cards, as well as checking accounts will continue to operate as before. A limited number of customers who experienced account updates due to the Bank of Ringgold acquisition have been notified through regular mail and telephone calls.
