The Natchitoches Humane Society’s Crewe of Wag-uns held its annual Mardi Gras Children and Pets Parade this past Saturday. The annual parade, a perennial family favorite, started at the Bank of Montgomery and wound its way down Front St. to the Riverbank where the canine royalty reigned over a “pawty”. King Rex Rufus was Dinky, owned by Mr and Mrs Tyler Murchison And Queen Mutt-A-Gras was Daisy owned by Mr. Teo M. Jones. Other winning pets were: Best Dog Costume 1st Place Aubrey Peoples Owned by Jeff and Paige Peoples, 2nd Place Bella Bear Dickinson Owned by Tammy Dickinson, 3rd Place Deuce Bostick Owned by Wayne and Lisa Bostick, 4th Place Snow Johnson Owned by Braddox Johnson.
