When David “Zack” Zachary decided to start building his own home at Horseshoe Hills, Ranch he couldn’t believe how difficult it was to get the equipment needed to do the job. Over the last year, he’s had to buy equipment or make the drive to Alexandria or Shreveport to rent it.

“I would lose half a day picking up and returning equipment,” said Zach. “We had to time it just right with when they were opening and closing, or we’d end up paying for an extra day. Working as a contractor, I understand the struggle that comes with it. Then I got the idea to open my own Contractor Equipment Rental company in Natchitoches.”

HHR Services offers rentals of equipment and attachments including Mini Excavators, Skid Steer Track Loaders, 50’ Man Lifts, Tractors, Trenchers, Stump Grinders and more. Because he lives on-site, Zach offers a no hassle, 24-hour pick up and drop off service.

“You can call me and say I need a trencher; I can pick up in 20 minutes and I can meet you or have a member of my team meet you,” said Zach. “That is what makes this company unique.”

“I have been a part of creating, owning or selling seven different companies and I enjoy these types of businesses because it brings in folks I like, folks that work with their hands,” said Zach. “My work history has always involved this type of equipment. At 13-years-old, my Dad had me working on oil spills and at 15, I was running crews on them.”
