DemonFest 2016 April 22-23

KNWD 91.7 FM The Demon, Northwestern State University’s student run radio station, is hosting their fourth annual DemonFest music and art festival April 22 and 23 on the Iberville Green on the NSU campus. The gates will open Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. NSU students and visitors can anticipate a wide range of musicians from across the country, artists and food venders.

This year, KNWD teamed up with the NSU Student Activities Board and Concert Committee to bring Top 40 R&B/Hip Hop artist Wale to the Demon Stage. Wale is best known for his hit singles, Lotus Flower Bomb, Bad and feature on the 2010 hit song, No Hands. He is currently signed to Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group with artist such as Meek Mill, French Montana and Omarion. He will be hitting the stage Saturday, April 23 at 9:30 p.m. Leading up to the headliner, students can see Louisiana locals such as DJENKO, Shayliff and Variants. Artists from across the country include Los Angeles’ EDM artists Lost Kings, Mississippi EDM artist DJ Hyphee and Austin funk band Kev Bev and the Woodland Creatures.

DemonFest 2016 is free to all NSU and LSMSA students, faculty and staff with a current I.D. 2-Day General Admission tickets are available for pre-sale only.
