In a considerably more tranquil than expected meeting, the Natchitoches School Board met this Wednesday in a special called meeting to discuss the Natchitoches Magnet School relocation. After a rollcall to determine that there was a quorum with members Mr. Daniels and Mr. Hilton absent, the floor was opened to questions from board members and the audience.
After minimal discussion, the proposal passed with each member voting yes. The proposal, set to begin next school year, is as follows:
1. L.P.Vaughn will house infants & toddlers through 5th grade (all students from Parks and Vaughn.)
2. 6th graders from Parks and Vaughn will attend NJH/FRJ where they will have the opportunity to take electives (such as band) and be involved in athletics.
3. Natchitoches Magnet will be moved to the Parks facility.
‘We’ Would like to know ‘Why’-Coach Lee Doty, isnt the ‘Schools Coach’-there any more.
He was a n outstanding ‘Coach’, his Family Loved that School, (St Marys).
Why is he not there-for another term.
