Northwestern State University’s Iberville Green was transformed into a concert venue for this weekend’s DemonFest, a two day music festival featuring NSU student and alumni performers as well as nationally known top-40 artists. This budding NSU tradition, in its fourth consectutive year, featured 14 acts on two stages over a two day period. NSU students participated in a “Battle of the Bands” in which student acts submitted sample videos and were voted on by the student body. The winners were invited to perform before their fellow students at DemonFest. Kopacetic, a band composed of NSU students fresh from a performance at last week’s Natchitoches Jazz Festival, entertained the crowd with their signature sound.
DemonFest closed on a high energy note with nationally known hip-artist Wale who kept the dancing and waving crowd on its feet throughout his set as he performed his hits such as “Lotus Flower Bomb.”
