Over 40 runners started their weekend off on an athletic note as the Lady Chiefs Softball team held its 2nd annual 5-K fun run fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 17 on the downtown riverbank. The team hosts the fundraiser to pay for things not in the budget from the school. This year is especially important as the Softball Team lost a great deal of equipment in the March floods that was not covered by insurance. The fun run is expected to raise about $2,000 for this great cause.
