The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce was recently recognized as an accredited chamber by the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE), the state professional development association for Chambers, during the 2016 Annual Conference held from Sept. 25-28 in Metairie. The Natchitoches Chamber was one of two chambers, the other being the Ascension Parish Chamber, to be recognized as meeting the stringent requirements for recognition as an accredited chamber through the new program.
“We are very proud that our operations are in line with best practices for successful Chambers across the state and country,” said Chamber President Tony Davis. “This process was both satisfying and challenging—while we had many items in line already, it was great to use this exercise to catch weak areas and correct them during this process.”
“Our staff works very hard to ensure that our Chamber is a professional operation that can efficiently serve our investors as we work to enhance the business environment in Natchitoches. As the Chamber is underway with an investment campaign right now, this accreditation is a very concrete symbol to our membership that we take our role seriously,” says 2016 Board Chair Janice Bolton, owner and broker for Bolton Realty in Natchitoches.
