Season tickets for the 2016-17 Northwestern State basketball teams are on sale, with packages covering 29 home games in Prather Coliseum.
Season ticket renewals began last week, said ticket manager Mike Jacklich, who made a discounted combo package offer good through Friday, Oct. 7. Fans who either renew or purchase new basketball season tickets by then can get steeply discounted football season tickets in the new purple chairbacks at Turpin Stadium for the four remaining home games.
The basketball home schedule includes 16 games for the Lady Demons under new coach Jordan Dupuy, seven coming before the new year as non-conference contests. Coach Mike McConathy’s Demons play 13 at home, opening the nine-game Southland Conference slate with a Saturday afternoon, Dec. 31 matchup against old rival McNeese as the second half of a doubleheader.
There are eight Southland Conference doubleheaders at home in Prather Coliseum, three on Thursday nights as the league has adjusted its scheduling template.
Wednesday, the NSU Ticket Office will begin selling seats in the NSU section at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City for the Dec. 17 matchup with UL Monroe there as part of the Shreveport-Bossier Holiday Classic. Those tickets are not included in the season ticket package since ULM is the designated home team.
Contributions to the Demons Unlimited Foundation are necessary to purchase VIP basketball season tickets on floor level, said Jacklich. Season tickets midcourt in permanent chairbacks upstairs, along with seat locations near each free throw line, are also available and don’t require DUF contributions.
VIP Courtside seating, with concierge service providing soft drinks and concessions, is $155 plus a DUF contribution. Seats in the court-level chairbacks are $130 plus a DUF donation.
Reserved season ticket seat locations upstairs are $105 with general admission season tickets set at $90.
A Fork ‘Em Flex Pack, which contains 10 vouchers good for admission in any combination to any game or set of games, is $50.
The discounted football/basketball season ticket deal offered through Oct. 7 requires purchase of season tickets for both sports, with the football price $85 for the four remaining home games in the purple chairback section, said Jacklich.
The Demons feature senior Zeek Woodley, who is on pace to become NSU’s career scoring leader, and Academic All-Southland Conference senior Sabri Thompson.
The Lady Demons are led by 2015 Southland Conference Tournament MVP Beatrice Attura.
The NSU Ticket Office is open from 8-5 daily, Monday-Friday, in the NSU Athletic Fieldhouse south of Turpin Stadium. The ticket office can be reached by telephone at 318-357-4268. Tickets are also available for purchase at NSUTickets.com online.
