The Historic District Business Association is seeking entries for its Pumpkin Glow event Thursday, Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Beau Jardin. There is no cost to enter a pumpkin or to attend the event.
The HDBA has a goal of 200 carved or painted pumpkins to create the pumpkin path. HDBA will provide illumination for entries. The HDBA will post a sign along the path with the name of any group or business entering 10 or more pumpkins. To help the HDBA build towards their goal, let them know the number of pumpkins you plan on entering.
Pumpkin drop off will be from 3-5 p.m. at the Roque House located on Rue Beauport. To keep carved pumpkins fresh, the HDBA asks that pumpkins be carved no earlier than Tuesday, Oct. 25. Entries of two or more pumpkins should be marked with the name of the group or business so they may be placed near each other on the path.
The Pumpkin Glow provides a creative way for families, groups and businesses to participate in a community wide event. The night of the Pumpkin Glow is a fun way for everyone to celebrate fall. For more information, call Dawn Wells at 318-729-8282.
