Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a Campti man in connection with the recent theft of an All-Terrain Vehicle in north Natchitoches Parish according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones.

NPSO Patrol Division deputies responded to a reported theft in the 500 block of Davis Springs Road in the Fairview Alpha community Oct. 16 at 2:41 p.m.

Upon their arrival, they spoke with the complainant, learning that a 1996 Honda Four-Trax ATV valued at $2,000 was stolen from the property.

Detectives identified as Steven D. Deleon of Campti as a suspect.

Deleon reported to the NPSO Criminal Investigations Division for questioning Wednesday morning where he admitted to the ATV theft because he needed the money.

As a result, detectives arrested:

Steven D. Deleon, 24, of the 100 block of Ella Davis Road, Campti, Who was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with one-count of Felony Theft over valued over $1,500.

Deleon remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.

The ATV has been recovered and returned to the owner.
