Butch Bella spoke to Kiwanians Thursday, October 27 at the NSU Recreation Complex. Kiwanis was lucky to hear his last speech before he moved to Nashville.  Members were motivated by the program titled “Success is Just a Decision Away.”

“Success is simply a decision you have to make,” said Bella. “The secret is that there is no secret to success.”

He encouraged members to do what others don’t and reminded them that the only thing that can keep them from success is giving up. During the program Bella made an analogy comparing success to a road trip.

“Say success is your destination. Don’t let a traffic jam, road closure or flat tire stop you from getting where you’re going. Take it one step at a time. Don’t worry about the destination, worry about getting out of the parking lot. Don’t let a detour become a derail.”

Bella gave examples of self-made millionaires and shared some of their stories. He stressed that success is about follow though.

“The brick walls are not there to keep you out. They are there to keep the people out that don’t want it as bad as you.”
