With the help of Bolton Realty and 17 generous donors, the NSU Demon Regiment (NDR) met its goal and delivered 300 Christmas Festival armbands to soldiers and their families at Fort Polk.

Richard Hooter (retired U.S. Army) is the operations officer for the NDR executive council. He was commissioned in 1974 from the NSU ROTC program. For 6 years, Hooter, with the help of other locals and businesses, has organized a tailgating event for the soldiers during the Christmas Festival Dec. 3. “It’s nice to see the people come together to support this,” he said.
