Billy Joe Harrington was sworn in today, Dec. 1, as the new district attorney for Natchitoches Parish. By special arrangement, Judge Rick Harrington, his brother, performed the ceremony.

Congratulations to Billy Joe and to the entire Harrington family. I have known them since we were kids. My grandparents Charlie and Annie Booty lived in Flora and we visited almost every summer. Miss Nancy and Mr. Billy raised raised three exceptional men.

I have known the family since I played basketball against Judge Rick when he was a player at Flora High School and I was a player at Cloutierville. My Dad and Mr. Harrington were friends and shared the same values and work ethics, which I know was passed along down the line with both families…..
