Instead of the usual guest speaker the club asks to visit their meetings, the Indigeaux Belly Dancers performed improve and remix dances.

Dressed in their tribal fusion garb, with hair gardens, dreadlocks and colorful tribal fusion flair, the members wowed the audience. Members include Jessie Parr, Scotti Rodgers, Beverly McColumb and Cheryl Gianforte.

Rodgers will hold Beginner Belly Dancing Classes starting in February. For more information call 318-472-9484 or 471-1368. For performances call Gianforte at 318-352-6068.

President Tina Ragan asks the community, on behalf of the Natchitoches Lions Club, to help them reach their goal in collecting 50 blankets, which will be donated to children at Weaver Elementary. The deadline is Thursday, Dec. 15. Blankets can be dropped off at any City Bank location.

The next Lions Club meeting will be held Monday, Dec. 19 and will include caroling around the hospital.
