Deputy Deanna Cato and Reserve Deputy Robert Griffin of the NPSO Patrol Division responded to a report of three alligators roaming near a residential area off of Laird Fletcher Road just south of Natchitoches Dec. 12 at 10:38 a.m.

Natchez Police also responded to the area.

Deputies say upon their arrival, they discovered three alligators roaming in the area, the largest being aproximately 7.5 feet long.

An alligator nuisance specialist was contacted who responded to the scene and removed the alligators from the residential area for safety purposes due to children living nearby.
