DemonFest moves to Prather Coliseum

DemonFest, the music and arts festival hosted by Northwestern State University’s student radio station KNWD, will take place in Prather Coliseum, according to event organizers. The fifth annual event is slated for this Friday and Saturday April 21 and 22 and will be held indoors due to weather concerns.

“DemonFest and DemonFling will be moved to Prather Coliseum, so forget about that sunscreen and bug spray and join us for the first-ever indoor DemonFest,” said Candice Richardson, KNWD public relations director.

Gates will now open at 1:30 p.m. Friday and at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Along with many musical acts on two stages, attendees can expect a variety of art, clothing, music and food vendors. The NSU Student Activities Board’s annual SpringFling, a free event for students, will be happening alongside DemonFest Friday for the first combined “DemonFling” event.

DemonFest is free to all NSU and LSMSA students, faculty and staff with a current ID sticker. Tickets will be on sale on March 20. One-day passes will be $10 and a weekend pass will be $15. For tickets or more information, visit http://www.nsulastudentmedia.com or the KNWD 91.7 FM Facebook page.
