The inaugural Natchitoches Destination Downtown was held under picture perfect weather Saturday June 10th. Over 130 visitors toured the Steel Magnolias House and the Prudhomme-Rouquier House. After the tours, the visitors were invited to participate in a Bloody Mary Tasting Event in which they went to four different establishments on Front St. to sample their wares and vote on who made the best drinks of the evening.
The event also featured face painting and inflatables for the younger set, while their parents could take a turn on the dance area in front of the stage on Front St. Live music filled the air throughout the day from The Rivers Revue and Lisa Spann & Co. The Destination Downtown will continue throughout the summer on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of June, July & August.

What a great event! I hope more people will take advantage of these great outdoor venues. A lot planning and hard work was obvious. Loved the music! Thanks to all who made it happen!
