“They’re coming to get you Barbara!”
Perhaps you recognize that line from George A. Romero’s 1968 classic, “Night of the Living Dead.” If not, now is your chance to see this iconic zombie film! The Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) is hosting its first “Pop-up Movie in the Park” Friday, Oct. 20 at 7pm. The movie will be shown in the new City Park amphitheater, next to the City Pool at 401 Amulet St. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets for seating. The Friends of the NPL are providing free popcorn and punch while supplies last!
The show will start promptly following a short film fact presentation at 7pm. Come and pick a seat, grab a snack, and get ready for the ghouls! Due to the films nature, it may not be suitable for all ages. George Romero is known as the father of modern zombie horror, don’t miss your chance to see the film that started his career on the NPL’s 12-foot inflatable big-screen!
