Fire Chief position changes hands: John Wynn will be sworn in Jan. 22

There’s a new fire chief in Natchitoches. Mayor Lee Posey presented John Wynn Jr. as the new fire chief at Monday night’s City Council meeting, Jan. 8. He will be swore into the position at the next City Council meeting Jan. 22. Wynn has 22 years experience with the City.

While Kenny Penrod originally accepted the position Dec. 14, he decided not to take the position, and chose to stay in his current position in the City Fire Department instead.
