A single vehicle crash killed a man from Goldonna on April 6.
Troopers responded to the crash around 12:05 p.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 156, west of LA Hwy 479. The crash involved a 1997 Ford Mustang, driven by Christopher Wayne Brewer (W/M 36 yrs). The Ford was westbound on LA Hwy 156 when Brewer lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with several trees and began overturning.
Brewer was wearing his seat belt, but was pronounced dead.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
While not all crashes are survivable, seat belts can greatly decrease the occupant’s chance of death and will greatly reduce the extent of injury.
Troop E Troopers have investigated nine fatal crashes in 2018, resulting in nine fatalities.
