Road Closures for Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival

The City of Natchitoches would like to advise the public that on Saturday, April 14 the following streets will be closed: Front Street from Church Street to Lafayette and Front Street from Church Street to Touline, as well as Trudeau Street, St. Denis Street, and Horn Street at their Front Street intersections. Front Street will be closed to all parking beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday, April 14. Violators will be towed at owner’s expense.

These street closures are due to the 22nd Annual Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival that will take place in the downtown area April 13-14. Streets will remain closed on Saturday for the duration of the 22nd Annual Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival and will reopen once the festivities conclude. The Rue Beauport Riverbank will also be closed to all drive through traffic for both days of the festival.   1. Who pays the police for this extra duty? Taxpayers? BTW, if you tow someone’s vehicle you are 100% responsible for it. So, that expensive item in the car, that goes missing, is on the person(s) who moved your vehicle. As is any damage to it.
