Natchitoches Mayor Lee Posey announces that work will begin on Monday, April 16 for the replacement of a deteriorated storm drain in the median of Henry Avenue between East Second Street and Williams Avenue.

This project consists of the removal of the existing storm drain, installation of new storm drain pipe, and replacement of concrete pavement in the intersection of Henry Avenue and East Second Street.

The work is expected to be completed within 30 calendar days.

In order to expedite the work, the westbound roadway of Henry Avenue between East Second Street and Williams Avenue will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project. The intersection at East Second Street will also be closed during the time that the concrete pavement work is being performed in that area. During these closures, traffic may detour around the work site via the adjacent network of City streets.

When traveling through this work zone, motorists are advised to exercise caution and to observe all warning signs and flagger instructions.
