Keelie Arneson’s Northwestern State volleyball career produced several firsts.
She became a second Saturday night when the former award-winning libero was recognized as the Exchange Bank Demon Great of the Game during the first quarter of the Demons’ 28-10 loss to Nicholls.
Arneson became Northwestern State’s first Southland Conference Libero of the Year, earning the honor for the 2013 season, which was the second 20-win season in the program’s history. She was an integral part of the only two 20-win seasons in program history and was part of the 2014 Southland Conference Tournament championship squad that earned NSU’s first NCAA Volleyball Tournament appearance.
In each of her first three seasons, Arneson set the school single-season record for digs, topping out at 712 in her junior season. Her 2,135 digs remain the school career record.
A Demon Great of the Game is spotlighted at each home football game. In its first five-plus seasons, the Great of the Game presented by Exchange Bank and Trust has honored 26 outstanding figures in the 110-year history of NSU athletics.
Exchange Bank and Trust has been a key supporter of NSU Athletics throughout its long history as the oldest financial institution in Louisiana.
