The federally funded TRiO- Student Support Services program is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of providing services to first generation students with modest incomes and/or a learning or physical disability to assist them with retention and graduating from college.
To celebrate the 50th year Anniversary, Student Support Services is sponsoring a Reception Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 pm in the Ballroom on the NSU campus. TRiO alumni and community is invited.
On the NSU campus, TRiO SSS services over 360 students, with a graduating rate of 45%, which is higher than the national average of 29%.
Oh, so this article isn’t about a 50-year-old person graduating from high school. Now that would be an interesting article.
