LaCap Senior Spotlight recognizes Cooper Miller, a senior at at the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts (LSMSA), as an outstanding high school senior.
Cooper is a senior at LSMSA where he serves as a student ambassador and works as an assistant in the College Counseling Center and as a teacher assistant for College Algebra and Trigonometry classes.
In 2017 he attended a summer biomedical research program at the University of Louisiana Monroe where he conducted multiple biology related experiments and learned to form conclusions and convert work into official lab reports. He also presented research at the Future Scientists Program where he took science research seminar classes and attended multiple speaker presentations.
Cooper has a 4.0 GPA and a 34 composite (35 Super Score) on his ACT. He takes gifted/honors classes and doubled up in history. He is a member of the National Honor Society, 4.0 Honor Roll, and a student safety activist essay contest winner. He was also the honorary speaker at the LSMSA Summer Recognition Ceremony.
Cooper is a member of the All-Academic Boys Swimming Team and 1st Team All District in Track and Field. He received the Coach’s Award for determination and drive.
LaCap believes it takes good grades, community involvement, and hard work to make a successful leader. Cooper Miller is being recognized for these qualities.
